In this ambitous series, art historian James Fox tells the story of our ever-changing relationship with nature through the lens of some of the world’s most extraordinary artwork.
DESCRIPTION
In 2021, I had the pleasure of color grading a fascinating three-part documentary series for BBC Four. The talented series producers and directors, Ben Harding and Alex Brisland, had captured stunning footage from around the world, exploring the beautiful connection between art and nature.
As it was a documentary, we wanted to maintain a natural and true-to-life color grading. However, I also aimed to subtly enhance the visuals by introducing a touch of blues into the darker areas, while still keeping it grounded in reality.
By striking a balance between authenticity and artistic touches, we aimed to create a visually captivating experience for viewers. The incredible footage captured by Ben and Alex, combined with our careful color grading choices, resulted in a documentary that immerses audiences in the enchanting relationship between art and nature.
